Titel: LibreOffice doesn't open files in a LAN
Beitrag von: luispa in 2014/06/13, 17:22:55
Hi,
I'm using Siduction since a long time ago. I never needed this functionality but now I need to work on files located on a LAN server but LibreOffice refuses to open them.
I'll appreciate your help for solving this issue.
Best regards,
Luis Pablo

How did you mount your datashare of the server? Cifs? nfs? sshfs?

It's a Samba share.

You have to mount that share and not choose files from filemanager over smb://.
This has never worked and will not work.

Why it will not work? It works on Linux Mint Debian Edition while using the same desktop manager (Mate).

Test this:

su
apt-get update
apt-get install gvfs-fuse
addgroup [USER] fuse

Thank you for your help. Package gvfs-fuse was not installed. I'll check if this solved the issue the next time I work on a LAN.

I tested it. I still can't open files with LibreOffice. It seems to be a LibreOffice related issue because I can open files with other applications like Abiword.
