A d-u here on 32 bit have at least these two packages throwing this warning/error:
"Trigger bilden eine Schleife" = EN: "trigger create a loop"
Packages:
fontconfig
hicolor-icon-them
While haveing this error during fontconfig, my hd really went crazy. I stopped it issuing "Ctrl-c".
I re-iniziated d-u and now hicolor-icon-them had the same error, and a list of packages which might have the same error was shown (but scrolled by quickly).
To me it seems this could be related to the dpgk error as according to the bug report there was involved a perl/perl-modul loop error.
I have no clue whether or not we simply should wait until this ist better understood.
EDIT:
A 3rd d-u asked to issue "apt-get -f install" (the previous d-u wasn't completed and now there were unmet dependencies)
hicolor-icon-theme and fontconfig were installed without error. The same goes for perl and perl-modul*
4th d-u problems with shared-mime-info (hd went crazy again)
5th d-u problems with libjpeg-progs which now I purged. libjpeg-turbo-progs got installed.
6th d-u: all well now.
Maybe all those little problems appeared due to the fact that my last d-u before today's was about one week ago (and a fixed perl version was needed to avoid these glitches)?
I've had that a few times. Supposedly due to the installed triggers, not by the particular packages being installed/updated.
doing "apt-get -f install" fixes it always (OK, at least the two times I've had this last week).
The procedure I can confirm.
At today's d-u it was with me the man-db .
An apt-get-f install updated the DB and then re apt-get dist-upgrade led the d-u successfully.
Is there a way to change the trigger queue depth to allow complex triggers to process? Seems it defaults to 4 and it should be like 10 entries deep
