I received the newest milestone for lxqt earlier via sparky and testing than via siduction. I performed a dist-upgrade in sparky and for me, no major problems noted. I did read up on debian bug 792321 and chose to go ahead anyway. For me it is a fresh install of libkf5screen6. The lxqt updated versions are 0.10.0-1 from 0.9-6
Things could still go wrong on different architectures. This was done on an atom 386 netbook without kde5-plama5 I use sddm on this machine instead of lightdm.
From the lxqt 0.10 release notes
QuoteThis release, we focused on cleanup, polishing and quality-of-life
improvements, with over 400 issues fixed and dozens of new
translations. We have also gained two new frameworks: Solid, which
replaces liblxqt-mount and some custom power management code and
libkscreen, which replaces system xrandr calls and is wayland
forward-compatible.
Siduction also has LXQt 0.10.0 packages in it's repos.

in fact - sparky use the siduction packages :) - and i know the guy who packaged, tested and uploaded LXQt 0.10 yesterday after running it on his own machine, btw. the same guy who read and acked the release notes (with some others) before they go public. 8)
I really like LXQT :) thanks for all the good work Alf . Any news when it will be in Debian proper.
thanks
Ian
It look like with todays du all of LXQT is now in Debian proper.
nope - the metapackages and task-lxqt-desktop are still missed, also nomacs, trojita and juffed (in a current version)

I can't find task-lxqt-desktop in siduction lxqt repro , also I did not know nomacs (which I use) trojita and juffed are part of lxqt
associated third party (or better - fits well for LXQt)
the task-lxqt-desktop is debian only, mainly for iso builds - we don't use the tasks.
Hi,
Quotewe don't use the tasks
Could be
addpkg lxqt used instead to get a proper installation of lxqt on siduction?
Kind regards,
Holger
... who works under FreeBSD at this moment and cannot test it
wir haben schon Meta-Packages, nur in debian gammeln die halt seit etlichen Tagen in NEW rum
-
for all non german users - addpkg is used to install a siduction like set of packages for LXQt - the meta-packages that will enter debian soon will only install LXQt and if used whit --install-recommends the recommend set of packages. We have them, in debian they are still on hold in NEW.
