Title: [SOLVED] New issues after smplayer got updated
Post by: vilde on 2016/01/20, 23:31:18
Apparently smplayer went to a new version or major update yesterday and things happened.

The subtitles was very big and ugly but I did manage to fix that by trial and error in the subtitle settings. Worse is that audio and video are completely out of sync.

Did some default settings disappear or what happen?

Working fine for me too. What version do you have? Latest appears to be
$ apt-cache policy smplayer
smplayer:
  Installed: 15.11.0~ds0-1
  Candidate: 15.11.0~ds0-1

I have the same version as sunrat.

The problem occurred after a d-u, unfortunately I got struck by the problem with initramfs-tools so I had to start with an old kernel and downgrade initramfs-tools. After that the smplayer went weird.

Now I did purge smplayer and installed it again and now it's working, I have no idea why?

Sorry for disturbing you.

I mark this as solved, take it away if you want to.

Good it's fixed. I last d-u 4 days ago so missed the initramfs-tools problem.
