Title: Why so much space to be freed in du?
Post by: drb on 2016/08/06, 09:58:27
I'm a bit suspicious as to why so much space will be freed with no removals and 11 new installations - 204MB to be freed. Any ideas why?

say "no" to the complete upgrade and try installing (dry run) listed packages one after another. I'd suspect libreoffice cleaned up something.

[edit], ok, not every of >100 but basic ones ;-)

OK, thanks, will try that. 204MB seems a lot of 'cleaning up' though!

Same here but it doesn't seem to be connected with Office.
Laptop with Libreoffice = 63 mb are going to be freed
File-/Torrentserver without Libreoffice = 205 mb are freed

It is unusual to see that much space freed, but I just ran this d-u on my HP laptop, and it seems to be working just fine.

Yes, I ran it on my laptop and there's no indication of any problem.  I'll update my desktop system later today, as well.
