Large DU is on hold, advice please.
The following packages will be REMOVED:
iptables xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse xserver-xorg-video-intel
I think iptbales can be re-installed, xserver-xorg-input-vmmouse is safe to let go even for vbox users, but not sure of intel driver status.
apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-video-intel
xserver-xorg-video-intel:
Installed: 2:2.99.918+git20160426-1
Candidate: 2:2.99.918+git20160426-1
Version table:
*** 2:2.99.918+git20160426-1 100
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
2:2.99.917+git20161105-1+b1 500

Does the "Intel graphic factsheet" still apply? is the following still advised?
apt update ; apt purge xserver-xorg-video-intel ; apt install xserver-xorg-video-intel
Thanks.
Have you even read any of these ?

Yes, I read them both, that's why I siad I think iptbales can be re-installed, etc. It's not clear in the other long thread which replies are answering which questions as folk tend not to use the quote facility.
My question was really about the intel driver status which has been answered thank you.
