Title: imagemagick transition
Post by: mylo on 2016/12/31, 11:21:46
obex-data-server transcode
shall be removed.

Is it safe to d-u and just install them afterwards again or better wait as situation has cleared?

I believe obex-data-server is because of the imagemagick transition.

https://release.debian.org/transitions/html/auto-imagemagick.html

This is what I am getting from DU

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  libmagick++-6.q16-5 libmagickwand-6.q16-2 obex-data-server
The following NEW packages will be installed:
  libmagickcore-6.q16-3 libmagickwand-6.q16-3 linux-headers-4.9.0-towo.2-siduction-amd64
  linux-image-4.9.0-towo.2-siduction-amd64

@mylo:
transcode is not in sid/unstable repos. You're probably using the debmultimedia.org ("dmo") repository. In that case, they have updated the package to work with the new libmagick version, so you should be able to proceed with d-u unless you're using one of the few packages on the transition page that haven't been updated yet.

Ah ok, thanks, good to know!
Right, transcode was a remainer from somewhen.
