Question: How does krunner search - can I delete any cache or how can I update the search?
Is there any way to repair it in the terminal?

In krunner, left of the input field is a settings button. In the following options dialog I have in german a "Verlauf leeren" button, that means empty cache or delete history. Does that do what you're looking for?

did not help, unfortunately :'( .
Found the reason:
obsolete .desktop entry in ~/.local/share/applications/
Not sure if this is what you want, you can delete history here also
/home/username/.config/krunnerrc
