Title: Problem with kernel 5 [solved]
Post by: sotnik on 2019/04/01, 11:36:50
Hello,
I can't boot into the graphical environment using linux-image-5.0.5-towo.1-siduction-amd64
I have no problem with all the previous linux versions.
I use nvidia drivers.
Any way to debug the issue?
Thank you

What says the log at /var/log/Xorg.0.log?

Nvidiadriver does not work with 5.0. You have to use kernel 4.20.xx until nvidia updates their driver.

Hmm, I am using Nvidia-driver 410.104 with Kernel 5.0.5 since yesterday.
Works fine until now.

It's not really helpfull to post a logfile from a start with working kernel.

towo:OMPC-AV3> LAMNG=C apt policy nvidia-driver
nvidia-driver:
  Installiert:           418.43-1
  Installationskandidat: 418.43-1
  Versionstabelle:
