Libreoffice and hplip appear to have hard dependencies on python3-xxx. They will have to be updated before a safe du can be made. (if you need one of them).

That explains it. I don't have libreoffice or hplip, only libreoffice-writer, -calc, and their core/base dependencies.

I have all libreoffice suite installed, I just upgrade it, but then, when I simulate a full-upgrade, it still informs that:
The following packages will be REMOVED:
hplip hplip-gui libreoffice libreoffice-librelogo libreoffice-script-provider-python obs-studio openshot openshot-qt python3-openshot python3-uno
What should I do? Carry on the full-upgrade or wait some time??
Thanks
I can't understand your problem, try apt upgrade and not apt full-upgrade.

I have already done the plain upgrade, but I would like to carry out my regular full-upgrade of the system as soon as possible. It seems, however, I will have to wait a bit, because the full-upgrade would remove my Libreoffice. This is my only concern: being patient to wait for the correct time to do the full-upgrade and not disturb any of my applications...
Cheers
@orca,
You can already full-upgrade, as usual,
if you only need the samba client, but not the samba server,
if you do not need Librelogo and the scripting framework for python,
if you do not need the winbindd daemon.
Decide for yourself.
Greetings,
Tom

Not -writer, -calc, -draw, -base, or -presentation. Just the ones samoht said.

That's easy to say and that could always be sad no matter if it's 5, 55 or 555 packages that will be removed. The big problem with that at least for me but probably for a lot of others that I have not a clue witch of the huge amount of packages on my computer that is needed or not.
So this is sort of useless information.
What I would like to know is if this will be resolved by it self just as normal, can I just wait or do I need to do anything manually to make this to be resolved?
If, as indicated by @orca, only a few packages (less than ten in this case) are to be removed, it is very easy to decide whether you can do without them, perhaps even temporarily.
They can be reinstalled later anyway.
Whether that's for
Quote5, 55 or 555 packages
to be decided, seems to me essential.
QuoteWhat I would like to know is if this will be resolved by it self just as normal, can I just wait or do I need to do anything manually to make this to be resolved?
If it's big name packages that I recognize, need, and want, I've had to wait a week and sometimes even more but usually things get resolved.
All clear here now.

I got something I haven't seen before.:
QuoteSome packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
lcl-gtk2-2.0 : Depends: fp-units-gtk2
E: Error, pkgProblemResolver::Resolve generated breaks, this may be caused by held packages.
I have nothing on hold
So I did a little investigating. Using apt-rdepends I find "lcl-gtk2-2.0" is somehow related to lazarus which I never actually use. So after I uninstalled that then a du wants to remove 124 packages and had about the same amount ready for autoremove. So I'm at sit tight time. I'm regularly at awe at the amount and the complexity of work the debian team do.
Seems to have recovered now.
