Ist da der Kernel seiner Zeit voraus oder, wie muß ich das mit der firmware verstehen?
Ja, ist er. Der Kernel hat Unterstützung für neuere Chipsätze drin, aber die Firmware ist evtl. noch nicht verfügbar.

If you need the latest firmware blobs and are OK with downloading manually, grab them from git.kernel.org (https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/tree/amdgpu).
Use the plain link on the far right to download, do NOT rightclick the file name and try to save it that way.
