Hi all,
First install of Siduction (KDE), all updated.
I am using the Application Menu and put all my favorites on the left-hand side of the menu. But when I log out or restart, the favorites are gone and I have to put them again. Any clue why this is happening? Never saw this behaviour before.
Thanks!
Are you using the full screen menu?
When I right click on the Siduction logo at the far left and choose "Show Alternatives," there are 3 possible application styles:
The Application Dashboard
The Application Launcher
The Application Menu
I'm referring to the Application Menu (not fullscreen)
OK, German names are different, just wanted to make sure. I have been using the application dashboard since its invention. So I just now switched to application menu for testing, added some items, rebooted, they were all there. Did you try to delete the widget and reinstall it? Other than that, I am out of ideas.
Thanks, devil.
I did something and it worked: I created a new user, got my menu application style, which was already populated with a few default favorites (my current user had zero favorites), so I added some, logged out, found them, changed general settings in appearance, restarted, found them, logged out again, and found them still there.
Weird?
Cheers!
And yes, I deleted the widget and reinstalled it, populated the favorites, logged out, they were gone.
Is there a special theme involved?
As per this post (https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/7pzxs7/favorites_completely_disappearing_from/), I deleted the files in ~/.local/share/kactivitymanagerd/resources/
and
~/.config/kactivitymanagerd-statsrc
and restarted, and all was fine!
I appreciate your help, devil.
Cheers!
Very strange that this should happen on a freshly installed system.
