Out of curiosity, as the problem seems limited to Debian sid(uction) as I read elsewhere (https://debianforum.de/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1338225#p1338225):
Is chromium 116.0.5845.180-1 crashing on start for the users here? Mine is.
Any solutions?
116.0.5845.180 is not official Linux Version, for Linux and Mac 116.0.5845.179 ist the released version.
Maybe the maintainers have done something wrong.
I haven't used Chrome/Chromium for a long time. A quick test showed: Crash.
Solution: Use Firefox.

Here (https://www.srware.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=62792&sid=e6373d1ff0410d89d8ac4dc6827d5768) is where I get a pretty stable chromium packaged in a .deb for download and installation.
