Thank you for the quick response. So let me ask, is this just a waiting game? I am able to boot and use my system but if I just need to wait a bit then that's no problem. If not, then do I need to first remove the nvidia-current? So apt remove nvidia-current and then do a install of apt nvidia-driver? I will init 3 during this process as well?
you need the siduction fixes repo activated. Then "apt update && apt dist-upgrade" should bring in the siduction version of nvidia

Thank you very much. I appreciate your help. I took a little while to respond as I had a bout with kidney stones. Grueling and most unpleasant to say the least. I have made those changes and checked my other sources.d files and it was missing in extra as well so that you again for pointing that out. I am all fixed and good to go again.
