Hi all,
Since a few days, I have been experiencing "soft" freezes with my system : suddenly cursor becomes very slow, GUI doesn't respond aymore, CTRL-F-AL-Fn has no effect. Need to hard reboot.
It happenned even when Firefox was not in the foreground. Where and how can I find clues to solve this problem ?
Thanks in advance.
Is this happening under X11 or Wayland?
Anything in ~/.xsession-errors.old?
I've also had this behavior a few times.
I'm not sure, but it always seems to occur when a drive is mounted via NFS.
I am under X.
I got this in my ~/.xsession-errors.old
amdgpu: The CS has been rejected (-16). Recreate the context.
amdgpu: The CS has been rejected (-125). Recreate the context.

Alas, no nfs mount
Memory test run during 4 hours without any error.
Look at /var/log/syslog and /var/log/messages for any error messages around the time of the freeze.
I have also been getting freezes, always linked to mouse click. I am using fully updated KDE with Wayland.
using an intel system?
No, AMD
I think the culprit could be PDF4Teachers, a java app.
