For "fun" I pushed my luck and ran
sudo apt full-upgrade
There was a lot of removals and installations, but when it was all over...my Siduction would only go to the log on screen, but would NOT allow me to log on.
Luckily I had a back up of my VM so I spent no time trying to figure out what is going on.
Are you able to give more specific advice on when and how I should navigate this minefield? Is this one of those things that will "fix itself" in a week's time? Or???

It's a "normal" transition which occurs in Debian from time to time, and as long as most packages/libraries depending on each are not properly built and on the servers, one does simply not perform an upgrade.
In most cases, everything should be sorted out after a few days and full upgrades should work, apart from a few exceptional situations.

Bei mir ist die Transition eben gut durchgelaufen. Es wurden nur zwei für mich unwichtige Pakete entfernt (eines war Kdenlive, an das andere erinnere ich mich nicht), der riesige Rest wurde problemlos aktualisiert.
Ich schreibe nach einem Neustart aus dem aktualisierten System, alles bisher ohne Probleme.
Ich kann aber natürlich keine Garantie für andere Installationen übernehmen!
So far, solver 3.0 is doing an excellent job of preventing damage to my KDE/Plasma systems.
The storm seems to be over. No more packages were removed from my d-u. Everything is fine.
The storm is over for most of us.
But as always, read what apt wants to do.
Qt is now at 6.9.2 so I'm sure that's preparation for a new KDE version to come soon and hopefully it's 6.4.5.
It's going to be 6.5, they will skip 6.4.x altogether.

That sounds good as that release is a huge bugfix one and also bringing in some nice features. Perhaps an RC version as a preview?

I have similar and have put it down to the updates from 5 to 6 not being complete yet so though I have

I'd just thought there were still dependencies elsewhere which are keeping them from being removed, but upgrading them would be detrimental.
Just a theory, though.
I have all the packages shown by @michaa7 installed -- in some cases, like python3-pyqt5 there are other installed packages that depend on them (hplip-xxx). So, best to leave them installed for now.

So I think I can savely assume not to be alone with some cruft packages. It simply still needs time for the transition to complete for various packages which need to catch up to the newer version of QT.
Bis auf drei dieser Dateien sind alle bei mir installiert und aktuell, soweit es Updates dafür gab.
Irgendein Programm scheint dies zu blockieren, da für jenes irgendwelche Abhängigkeiten nicht erfüllt sind.
Was versucht werden kann, ist zum Beispiel mit 'apt -s install 'kwayland-integration' zu schauen, was da passieren würde, welches Programm bzw. welche Bibliothek der Grund für das Zurückhalten ist.

Interessant. Dein Vorschlag würde dazu führen dass bis auf die sechs genannten alle anderen Pakete aktualisiert würden. Auf die Bibliotheken kann man *vermutlich* (?) verzichten. Auf smtube kann ich verzichten. Auf ein vernünftig funktionierendes yt-dlp möchte ich nicht verzichten. Aber ich verstehe die Abhängigkeiten (s.o. EN) nicht wirklich.

Interessant, ich kann phantomjs in den Debianpaketen nicht finden (auch nicht in stable oder oldstable). Hast Du das aus einer anderen Quelle? Das könnte dann die Installierbarkeit 'purer' Debianpakete beinflussen.

Woher ich das habe kann ich nicht sagen. Es wurde jedenfalls nicht bewußt von mir installiert. Es scheint aber ein original Debian Paket (gewesen), aber 2020 aus unstable und testing entfernt worden zu sein, muss also schon vor Jahren bei mir reingerutscht sein.

There is no reason to be worried, especially if there is no problem. And, BTW, there is and was never a reson to be worried about --solver 3.0, which now happens to be the default anyway.
So, don't you think it would be helpfull to show what output you get after which input. Or do you expect we have second sight about what is so worrying with the outcome of your CL activities?

Libreoffice-qt6 ist installiert ... die qt5-Variante dabei entfernt ... und damit sind auch die Kollisionen mit Libreoffive-qt5 perdu. :)
Das full-upgrade ergab dann folgendes:
