Ben slowly speaking at Fosdem 2013 ...
wget \
http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/fosdem-video/2013/crossdistro/Stable_kernel_maintenance_for_distributions.webm

He maintaines linux-3.2 for Debian and kernel.org. Not much new he talks about though ...

Thanks.

But here in this forum the "\" is wrong! It does not escape a line feed (and prevents a d/l).

So if you want to d/l ommit the "\". Or copy the URL in the addressbar of a webm able browser to view this video directly.
Ok, you can't code, but you still might be able to write a bug report for Debian's sake

The mirror doesn't serve well for viewing!
It escapes the lf: Just mouse mark, copy and paste in a Kde Konsole and return!

Zitat von: "ralul"The mirror doesn't serve well for viewing!
Yeah, this is true.

ZitatIt escapes the lf: Just mouse mark, copy and paste in a Kde Konsole and return!

Here on fluxbox and programms "konsole", "xterm" or "terminal" it didn't :-( :

Ok, I see the problem you tried to avoid.
Zitatwget http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/fosdem-video/2013/crossdistro/Stable_kernel_maintenance_for_distributions.webm

With doubleqoutes you can avoid the truncation of the URL *and* there is no problem with c&p.
Zitatwget "http://ftp.heanet.ie/mirrors/fosdem-video/2013/crossdistro/Stable_kernel_maintenance_for_distributions.webm"
No need for forcing lf in quoted text here in the forum, I think.
