its been a while since I tried Linux on a laptop as full os, is WPA_supplicant as crazy as it used to be? has it become more friendly?

also, anyone have any faster tips for backing up my factory HD? I'm used to dd/dd_rescue. I was thinking of trying to use ntfsclone instead to capture my main os, dell diagnostic and dell recovery partition. my question with that becomes how do I store my partition and MBR information for retrieval later if needed?

Thanks!

Lol, Found most of my own answers once I got faster internet.
WPA Supplicant seems improved, although, I could see how reconfiguring Ceni each time with the key might get tiresome, I'll have to research ceni and wifi profiles.

As for backing up my harddrive. I'm currently using oldstyle dd, but once it's done, i'm gonna try this "new" way of using sfdisk/dd/ntfsclone
as mentioned here:

Follow the manual from beginning to end, skipping nothing....nothing more to say.
Everything works fine, no reason at all to keep reconfiguring ceni.

Yea, I got roaming to work with Ceni and Wpasupplicant. Now I'm troubleshooting an issue with repeated scanning that won't let me connect to a AP.
