A2DP profile for bluetooth stereo headphones

My bluetooth stereo headphones stopped working with my siduction xfce desktop.I was impressed with how easy it was to pair and set them up to work with PulseAudio using PulseAudio Volume Control but right now after I connect them I get

Failed to change profile to a2dp

I update my system regularly and now it's difficult to tell which .conf files got replaced.Headset service seems to work but not Audio Sink
