How to Donate?

Yes, I've used the "donate" link in the banner, but it's not clear (at least to me) how one can donate based on the info on the donate page.

I searched the forums and found out that the PayPal method will only work if one has a PayPal account.  I recently closed mine and do not plan to re-open it.

How does one donate using the bank info provided on the donate page; wire transfer?

the donate page says (via google translate):
"The best and cheapest way for donations are bank transfers. The account number for this is."

So, wire transfer it is. For this you'll need the account owner and SWIFT, BIC, IBAN given on the page.

Thank you absolut for the clarification.  Me thinks wire transfers will be expensive.  I'll check my bank and find out.

05/06/2014-01 edit:  Just what I thought...my bank charges $25.00 to wire money internationally.  I'll investigate if it's possible to send money via automatic clearing house (ACH).

05/06/2014-02 edit:  Automatic Clearing House (ACH) is a payment system only used in the U.S. (where I'm located).  Other ideas?

does western union offer a money to bank account deposit?

My bank referenced Western Union for the same fee $14.25.  However, I checked the Western Union site and it's more reasonable; $5.00 for the amounts I'm considering.  That's still a bit much.  I guess that's my only alternative, though, since I do not want to create a PayPal account.
