I am seeing there is an nvidia-driver update available on the siduction repos, it looks like the nvidia-glx package gets removed;

The following packages will be REMOVED:
  nvidia-glx
The following packages will be upgraded:
  baobab binutils goobox libcurses-perl libegl1-nvidia libencode-locale-perl libgl1-nvidia-glx
  libgl1-nvidia-glx:i386 libnvidia-eglcore libnvidia-ml1 libpython2.7 libpython2.7-minimal libpython2.7-stdlib
  nvidia-alternative nvidia-driver nvidia-driver-bin nvidia-kernel-dkms nvidia-vdpau-driver python2.7
  python2.7-minimal xserver-xorg-video-nvidia
21 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 1 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

It looks like the nvidia-glx package for 352.41 is missing or maybe has been depreciated.  Is it safe for me to upgrade without  the nvidia-glx package?

It's a transitional package. Since you have its replacement package (nvidia-driver) installed, you can remove nvidia-glx.
