Wie network-manager auf Thinkpad aktivieren

Ich habe mir einen gebrauchten Thinkpad zugelegt und Indian Summer mit KDE (nicht kdenext) installiert.
Jetzt versuche jetzt network-manager zu aktivieren.
Im Manual steht zum Thema WiFi ceni und wpa_gui. Ich vermute das ist für NM nicht zutreffend.

Sieht aus als kann ich das ignorieren?

As a word of warning everyone, looks like the enhanceio-dkms will fail to build the module for kernel 3.17, my guess is the enhanceio packages need to be updated.  System will boot fine, but you won't have any caching. 

Also you'll see that kernel 3.17 is looking for iwlwifi-7260-10.ucode firmware file but the current iwlwifi-firmware package only contains up to version 9, you can safely ignore this error, as the kernel does load the next available, wich is version 9.

... du musst folgende Packete installieren:

* network-manager
* plasma-widget-networkmanagement
* evtl. noch etwas aus empfohlenen Packeten (zB VPN, modemmanager für UMTS-Verbindungen) installieren

...

NM ist installiert, plasma-widget-networkmanagement hab ich nicht in den sources.
Das Debian Wiki schlägt network-manager-kde vor, aber auch der ist nicht in den sources.

Wie sollte ich weiter vorgehen?

Hi Penyelam,

du brauchst folgende Pakete:

network-manager
network-manager-openconnect
network-manager-openvpn
network-manager-pptp
network-manager-vpnc
plasma-nm

Dann solltest du in der Leiste unten rechts je nach Netzwerktyp (LAN, WLAN) ein Symbol haben mit dem du die Verbindungen konfigurieren kannst.

EDIT: Die alte Netzwerkconfig darf nicht aktiv sein, d.h. in /etc/network/interfaces darf nicht mehr als das nachfolgende stehen:
