Hello!

I'm facing the following problem:
when login to Cinnamon session from Lightdm, I get this error:
Failed to load session "cinnamon" Benutzer abmelden
(see attachment "IMG_20151221_075634.jpg").

In .xsessions.errors the following related error is recorded:
Xsession: X session started for thomas at Mo 21. Dez 20:02:10 CET 2015
localuser:thomas being added to access control list
x-session-manager[803]: WARNING: Unable to find required component 'nm-applet'

This could be related to the package "NetworkManager" that I have replaced with Wicd.

The error recorded in the system logfiles shows this (see attachment):
[...] fatal IO error 11 (Resource temporarily unavailable) on X server ":0"

I think I can give you a hint, because of that my background knowledge:
Cinnamon is Gnome3 but another surface. (If you want something more independent from Gnome3 look at mate)
Now:
I have tried Gnome3 without installing Networkmanager: Does not work
My hint:
install nm-applet

Gnome3 works with installed but disabled NM. Perhaps this is possible for Cinnammon also.
experiencing siduction runs better than my gentoo makes me know I know nothing

and if so - please check the debian bugs and file one if not there
