The only application that was kinda new was devilspie but removing it changed nothing. Then I've tried disable xscreensaver but also nothing. There are only evolution, firefox, liferea and rednotebook left but they never made trouble and there are no signs that they do make problems.

Here is the list of packages that were updated before the problem began, but I can't see anything that should cause such trouble:

Is there anything in .xserver-errors or the journal that would explain the delay?

Yes, indeed, there is something:

but I don't know if this could be the reason for the trouble.

That has todo with bluetooth. Bluetooth mouse or keyboard?
What does journalctl telling you!

Geier0815

Neigther the one nor the other. I'm using bluetooth sometimes for my e-piano.
journalctl -u bluetooth.service show no problems.

I think there will be an update the next days and everything is working normal again.

Reason found. It's as simple as it is stupid. Shame on me...

Yesterday I've tried to disable IPv6 by creating an /etc/sysctl.d/01-disable-ipv6.conf with "net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6 = 1". But I didn't test it. Now I've found that network-manager gives a shit on this config and activated IPv6. After deleting this conf xfce starts as usual.

Ah, self inflicted. The worse kind of problem.
