Hi,
habe mir gerade mal das sehr umfangreiche Update angetan. Erfahrungsbericht:

1) Vier Fatal-Meldungen

2) Iceweasel startet auf halber Briefmarkengröße.

Ansonsten alles gut. Module scheinen  bisher kein Problem zu sein.[/code]

1) ist nicht FATAL
Im Zuge des Umstiegs auf das offizielle kernel.org Tool "kmod" als Ersatz(*) für das alte "modprobe" hat Debian auch das "update-initramfs" verbessern wollen. In den neu generierten initrd Startdateien sollen ein paar Module geladen werden, die es bei siduction gar nicht gibt, weil sie nicht gebraucht werden.

2) iceweasel ist bei mir alles im grünen.

(*) modprobe,insmod,rmod sind jetzt alle nur noch Symlinks zu kmod.

Wie auch immer aber mit diesem Kernel kommt X nicht hoch. Zumindest nicht innerhalb von 10 Minuten, dann hatte ich den alten Kernel gebootet.
CPU Last 100%, die Platte rödelt sich einen Wolf, dbus-message-irgendwas zieht wohl die Rechenzeit hoch.

update-initramfs -u -k 3.2-9.towo.2-siduction-amd64
(oder deine neueste -x86- Kernel Version nach "/boot/vmlinuz-" )
nach einem DU (apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade)

Sorry, 32 Bit hier. Der scheint gar nicht installiert worden zu sein. Ich hab' ja genug zur Auswahl. Ich wollte nur darauf hinweisen dass da wohl doch etwas FATALes dabei ist.

Wenn die initrd Datein nicht exisitiert kein "-u" update  sondern "-c" creation so:

Ja, die Fehlermeldungen bleiben gleich und sind eigentlich nicht schlimm.

@OppaErich, ich hatte in den letzten Tagen des Öfteren Upgrades des initramfs Tools gesehen, und Dir deswegen ein manuelles update-initramfs empfohlen.

Löppt Dein System denn jetzt besser und ohne "CPU Last 100%" ?

So, nun hat es mir beim booten verraten wo der Schuh drückt. Die Kernel-Header waren nicht installiert, da fehlt mir wohl noch ein Metapaket. Nun ist alles Gut.
