Thunar opens with 20 second delay

I am running 12.1.1/Xfce which I am enjoying very much.  Well done to the team!

I have one odd problem.  When I click on my Thunar icon on my panel, Thunar takes as long as 20 seconds to finally open.  It behaves similarly if I select it from the menu.

I have installed Nautilus and that program opens almost immediately.

Has anyone else seen this delay with Thunar?  Is there a fix?

uname -a returns the following for my system:

There is a similar delay with Thunar if it is looking for a missing network connection.

I got this same problem and found solution:

Modify this file: /usr/share/gvfs/mounts/network.mount
Automount=true (this cause thunar looks for network drives to mount them)
Change to "Automount=false", thunar will start fast.

On the other hand, yes, the first time you click on "Network" this delay will show.
