I am using the latest LXDE edition Firestarter. The problem i have is that Lxappearance can't change the gtk theme and the icon theme. All themes are in /usr/share. At first it worked and i change the theme and the icon theme. Now i can't change them. I click apply and the desktop refreshes but the themes are the same. I tried some solutions i find online but nothing works. My .gtkrc-2.0 has the right settings but i doesn't work. Using gtk-chtheme i can change only the theme. Can someone help? Thanks.

This is worthless info.

Did you dist-upgrade recently?

Ok, you can't code, but you still might be able to write a bug report for Debian's sake

Yes, i dist-upgrade this morning. That post doesn't say anything about Lxappearance.

I have the same problem here. Could not change themes and icons.
Tried to uninstall and re-installed back but nothing changed.

I have been updated my system and now I can change theme. :)

yes, we have fixed this in cooperation with upstream some times ago - but we can't change the iso's for that. So a update is highly recommended after installation.
