Hi, I suppose the latest initramfs-tools broke my system, the relevant bug report is https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=762870

If I don't decide to go to bed, I'll try to install the previous version and report the results here... ^__^;

Edit:
Yup, reverting to version 0.116 fixed it

Hello, da man!
the bug doesn't hit the majority of users. Would be interesting to know, what makes your case special.

It's a Dell XPS13 with a plain installation, I mean there is only a home, system and swap partition, not counting the two Dell's factory partitions that I've left, the home is not crypted and I'm not using LVM or RAID configurations.

I've tried to install it again but at boot I'm still dropped to the initramfs shell.

In the desktop that I'm using right I put the package on hold, I can try to see if I can replicate the same behaviour...
