there was a package renaming, I think it's fixed in kdenext now, if you still have problems let me know.

Thanks. It's working great now. The du went through on my system after removing the old named packages kde-style-qtcurve4 kde-style-qtcurve5 (they are now kde-style-qtcurve-qt4 kde-style-qtcurve-qt5 and were installed automatically)

apt-get -f install? -f means "fix-broken"

And all of these years, I just assumed it meant force. Thanks.
