Hi together,

tried to start libreoffice in above said version as user, first with tray icon and then in cli - both no reaction as well as not to be seen any starting screen.

Tried again in cli with root:

root@sid-X121e:/home/ltq# libreoffice

(process:7321): GConf-WARNING **: Client failed to connect to the D-BUS daemon:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
LibreOffice(7321)/kdeui (kdelibs): Session bus not found
To circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash) export $(dbus-launch)

did so

root@sid-X121e:/home/ltq# export $(dbus-launch)
root@sid-X121e:/home/ltq# libreoffice

and it worked.

How can I get it started as normal user?

TIA

Thomas

Try in your user console

libreoffice --writer

It is working correctly here.
