T440s Unsupported brightness interface

Bei meinem Lenovo ThinkPad T440s lässt sich die Helligkeit nicht über F-Tasten (F5, F6) regeln, (andere F-Tasten z.B. Lautstärke funktionieren).
Ein BIOS update auf 2.36 hat keine Änderung gebracht.

Als Workaround nutze ich xbacklight.

Im journalctl findet sich folgende Meldung:
thinkpad_acpi: Unsupported brightness interface, please contact ibm-acpi-devel@lists.sourceforge.net

Soll ich wirklich ibm-acpi-devel@lists.sourceforge.net kontaktieren oder kennt jemand eine Lösung?

Hi Penyelam,

selbigen EIntrag habe ich im Journal auch mit dem Unterschied das dies ein Lenovo T430 ist und die Helligkeitssteuerung bei mir funktioniert.

Ich würde tatsächlich, wenn keine Lösung deines Problems in Sicht ist, die Mailingliste kontaktieren.

Gleiche Meldung beim E 530c. Steuerung funktioniert trotzdem. (FN 7, FN8)

Ich habe hier (T430)
Lenovo Thinkpad t60---
Habe damit keine Probleme

bitte nimm einen siduction Live-Stick und teste dort mal die Funktionalität der Helligkeitssteuerung. Sollte das dort auch nicht funktionieren evtl. noch eine andere Distri (Live-Stick), zB. Fedora-KDE oder Manjaro-KDE testen.

did you find a solution? i have the same problems after upgrading to plasma5 (before it worked fine). maybe i miss some package?


i have a T530 and Fn8 & Fn9 should set the brightness of the monitor.
