[Solved] How to get synaptics working with 4.15.0-towo.1

My Thinkpad T460's touchpad and trackpoint stopped working with 4.15.0-towo.1.

Had to add the following kernel parameters to fix it:

hmm - synapics is dead, new kid in town is libinput - and i would suggest to use it
