Sonderzeichen schreiben

Hallo Leute,
kann mir irgendwer  erklären, wie folgendes Sonderzeichen geschrieben werden kann:
≈ (U+2248)

Versuch mal <strg>+<shift>+u und dann die Nummer eingeben.

Hängt, wie in der Quelle angegeben, von der Umgebung ab. In einer GTK+ basierten Anwendung sollte es klappen, bei Qt und KDElibs basierten noch nicht. Bleibt der Umweg über KCharSelect, um ≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈≈ zu schreiben.
Und für umfangreichere entsprechende Texte gehts über LaTeX.
