I was trying the new Masters of War release as a live USB drive, but I cannot boot  with it.

The laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad T440p, running siduction already) boot from the media, I get the GRUB boot screen, but when starting I get

Probing devices [sda1] [sda2] [sda3] [sdb1] [sdb2]

a few times, and then

Failed to detect live media

Note that I am using Ventoy to have multiple ISOs in the same USB drive, but the previous siduction ISO, as well as a few other distributions, all run fine with it.

I also checked that the MD5 sum of the ISO is correct.

Any suggestions?

Oddly enough, it work on my desktop (Dell Optilex 5060)...

My experiences with Ventoy are mixed. To rule it out as a cause for the problem, could you dd the ISO to another stick and try booting it?

Indeed, putting it in a USB drive by itself worked...  It is strange that the old version works and that the new version works in a different machine, but I guess this solved the problem (even though I was hoping to avoid a separate USB drive).

Thanks!
