Ich sehe da keinen einzigen Fehler:
dkms scheint auch ein kernel modul nvidia.ko gebaut zu haben für

Was bringen Spielchen in höhere Gefilde mit
Strg+alt+F7
Strg+alt+F8
Strg+alt+F10
Strg+alt+F12
oder jeweils nur mit alt+FX

Power Management kannst du natürlich auch mal disablen.
Und die Logs durchforsten unter /var/log

VT number 12 ? Ich hab bei mir im Xorg.0.log gefunden:
using VT number 7

Aber wieso geht das dann bei Dir mit einem alten Kernel ?
Und wieso hast du 295.33, ich habe schon länger
NVIDIA GLX Module  295.40

Benutzt du das Debian Paket:
nvidia-kernel-dkms

So, Kernel 3.3-3 läuft,  allerdings mit Nvidia 295.33 von der nVidia Website.

Alle Versuche, wie von dir angegeben vorzugehen haben nicht zum Erfolg geführt, es hat lediglich dazu geführt, dass auch Kernel 3.2-10 nicht mehr grafisch starten wollte. nach 5 maligen (gefühlt nervigem 300 maligem :wink:  )Ausführen deiner Anweisungen und ebenso häufigem Reboot des Systems, nebst entfernen und nach Reboot neuinstallieren der 3 nvidia-kernel-xyz pakete und nvidia-glx war ich so genervt, dass ich dann stumpf den noch auf der Festplatte vorhandenen nVidia 299.33 Treiber manuell installiert habe, kaputtmachen konnte ich ja eh kaum noch was. Jetzt läuft das System erstaunlicherweise doch mit Kernel 3.3-3 und nVidia 299.33 von der nVidia-Seite.

Keine Ahnung. was da los war, ich habe allerdings schon so solche Probleme mit nvidia-kernel-xyz und nvidia-glx gehabt.
Wer weiss, was da bei mir los sein könnte, ich bin nach wie vor für jeden Hinweis dankbar.
