I went ahead and ripped them all out -- on my system it was only :i386 packages.  The only thing that was removed, that I cared about, was skype.  I assume it will be possible to reinstall it soon.

To reinstall skype 4.2, it was only necessary to first install libpulse0:i386, which (apparently) was one of the packages ripped out yesterday.  Without this package, skype has no audio.

All working perfectly again.

Just did a DU and all seemed fine.  apache2.2-common, libsnmp15 and qtcurve-i18n were removed.  I know apache was replaced with 4.4, and
libsnmp15 was replaced with libsnmp30.  Many qtcurve applications were updated during this DU, so, I'm assuming that qtcurve-i18n can just be let go.

The qtcurve-i18n package is in kdenext, but there's a dependency problem at the moment:

Code: [Select]
root@imerabox:/# apt-cache policy qtcurve-i18n

root@imerabox:/# apt-get -s install qtcurve-i18n

Hello,

I'm using multiarched libraries too because of wine, skype and such. I have detected tow problems in the latest few days which are preventing a clean dist-upgrade: one is the fact that libc6 failed to build on debian's amd64 (hence the different versions for 32 and 64 bits); the other is that now libjack depends on libopus (which wasn't supporting multi-arch). I have just fixed the latter problem in siduction's fixes repository. The libc6 problem remains unfixed but I'm just hoping debian will fix it somewhat soon.
