Santa

Hello,

since yesterday KDE SC 4.12.0 is available in kdenext/experimental-snapshots. Hopefully, it's going to be moved to unstable soon. Also it's going to be replaced soon with KDE SC 4.12.1 (which is not officially released yet).

Cheers.

piper

No problems here, but a change of behavior. External drives will be now mounted on /media/<username>/<fs-label>. How can I change this?

keep in mind that there is no kmail2. kmail2 was "only a woking name for the new thing". All versions greater than 4.4.11 are the so called kmail2 the new version:

* debian unstable 4.11.3 -> kmail2
* siduction at kdenext/unstable 4.4.11.1 -> kmail1
* siduction at kdenext/experimental-snapshots 4.4.11.1 -> kmail1
* siduction at kdenext/kdepim-ng 4.11.2 -> kmail2

What is meant by an external drive? A drive connected via usb?

The desktop seems to be fine, but while doing something else I noticed this in my terminal:

I confirmed that I have the nepomuk service disabled, and no PIM indexing, so I'm not sure what to make of this.  Anyone else?

To be more accurate: all external media (usb, cd/dvd, floppy) mounted from kde desktop via http://userbase.kde.org/Plasma/DeviceNotifier.

the KDE SC 4.12 in kdenext don't play nicely with kdepim-next repo:

LANG=C apt-get -f install

Use 'apt-get autoremove' to remove them.
The following extra packages will be installed:

Because the new kdepim wasn't updated yet.

Thank's a lot Santa!
Work's fine here, but i had toapt-get install udisks2
to get removable devices mounted again (device notifier didn't show any attached usb pen drives or CDs)

clubex

I'd like add my thanks to Santa.

No problems so far and no problems with removable usb devices.
