Lost lightdm and xfce4
« on: 2020/08/21, 00:24:18 »
A d-u today and then a reboot leaves me at a prompt. Both lightdm and xfce4 are there but neither will start. I installed sddm just to see if lightdm was broken and it starts but won't log me into Xfce. However, I can log into fluxbox which i use occasionally but most of the apps won't start.

Just a warning if someone is also running Xfce. Maybe someone has a fix already. I notice journalctl is reporting a constant stream of blueman applet errors and during boot I saw iwlwifi yoyo.bin errors.

Seems I found the problem but not sure what to do with it yet.
