[EN] Screen artifacts since upgrading to KDE 5.23
« on: 2021/11/11, 07:04:29 »
I use the term screen artifacts, as I don't know how else to describe it.

Since upgrading to 5.23 I get a persistent "image" from an application on all desktops.

This can be,
  • 1, an image of the entire application or,
  • 2. an image of a drop down menu.

This persists after the application has been closed.

It doesn't happen often, but often enough to be very annoying.

It occurs with KDE / Plasma apps i.e. Dolphin or non KDE / Plasma apps i.e. Firefox.

It can be cleared by logging out of a session then back in again.

Any one else experience this at all?

Any ideas suggestions would be welcome.

Happy to provide additional information required.

Cheers.

Hello
I have other artifacts since the upgrading to Plasma 5.23.
My windows and widgets are flickering
see : https://forum.siduction.org/index.php?topic=8455.0

The road on Plasma seems very bumpy at the moment
