Yep, users using dmo weren't effected (gstreamer) as usual, best place to check this is the 5 mythtv forums and the 2 kodi forums, because if this was the case, all 7 forums would be flooded with user complaints.

Dmo is only a problem in debian irc & their forum, go outside the box (the 7 forums) you will see plain bullshit, thousands of people that use mythtv and kodi (dmo) would be bitching up a storm if this were the case, politics & epoch is a debian thing ...  real people laugh at the bullshit, I am one that laughs.

I don't mind being put down for this crap, only makes me laugh harder :P

@piper I don't always get the hate that DMO gets as they generally build stuff with options that are not always present in the official Debian packages. Granted DMO at times either lags behind or sometimes gets slightly ahead of Debian but most breakages relating to DMO packages usually get fixed.

Yes aware that support for those DMO packages is very limited but if they work then that's good.

piper

dmo is usually ahead, the hate is politics & epoch

The longest I have seen dmo broke was about 4 hours for the packages I use (since 2002), the last version was when mythtv was at version 24, that was a long time ago (version 30 is stable, 31 experimental).

I love mentioning it, because 7 heavy used forums (both UK & US) prove that if it breaks as much as debian says it breaks, these forums would have a flood of pissed off members and that is not the case.

Threr are actually more forums if you include the AV and the like forums that also have mythtv & kodi (dmo), but the major 7 are used everyday
