LibreOffice Writer, Rich Text Format (.rtf) -- hanging

LO ver. 3.5.2.2

RTF docs sometimes open immediately, sometimes do not.  When it hangs on open, one CPU core runs up to 100% and stays there.  But it is not completely hung -- eventually after a few minutes the document will open and the CPU usage returns to normal.

But this is a 4.2 GHz machine!   :shock:

Anyone else see this issue?
