Hi all,

I have a problem with white a white line pattern on the screen (appearing sometimes, se above). In additiin the fonts on the menu on thel leftaüppear somwetimes in white, so are no more readable.

It seems this is only in combination with the siduction page.
The onboard graphics specification is:
inxi -G
Graphics:  Card: Intel Xeon E3-1200 v3/4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller
           X.Org: 1.15.0 drivers: intel (unloaded: fbdev,vesa) Resolution: 1440x900@59.9hz
GLX Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel Haswell Desktop GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 10.1.0

if i understand this correctly, this is a screenshot of a browser (iceweasel?)

i sometimes experience small distortions on various webseites with iceweasel (i do have nvidia graphics here, though). it might be an iceweasel issue.

That type of video garbage is usually an issue with the video memory and cache, which may be caused by a driver bug, or by the software package (browser) that you are using.  You can test with different browsers and see if it changes.

Hi all,

as the problem gets worser and worser, I have to do something.
I open a putty and while hovering, the font colour of the hovered menu turns into white.

So how can I check and find out, whether I have the right video driver and the right config of it?
Which steps do I have to go through?

EDIT:

When I mark a section and click somewhere else after, the font colour turns in its original colour.

Same behavior if you run a live system?

Hi melmarker, I'll going to check that  these days and come back and report.

The cause for this is probably in this upstream bug report from a siduction user and a debian sid user: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76608

Hi all,
I have found the same effect as mylo in my system.  In my case the error usually occurs when starting from KDE, on top of the screen are white stripes across the entire width of the screen to see. If I run a Restart thereafter the KDE-Desktop no longer occurs on the effect.

Hi all,
I have found a workaround until the problem is fixed. In the System Settings "Xrender + Native" select and store. Thus, the error on the screen no longer exist, however, some desktop effects will not awaken.

EDIT:
Here is my bug report in Debian can be read: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=742811

hi,

i did not have that white line pattern things, but the desktop effects in kde wasn't working.
Of course it is an old laptop with an ancient viedeo card ;) , but intel.
It occurs after a mesa update some days before, if the xorg-intel got an update, i did not remember.
So i tried an older kernel, a dead horse ;) , 3.8-5.towo-siduction-a,md64 x86_64, after testing around with the settings.
Of course i tested also the xrender setting and it works, but not as i wanted, so i choose to test another kernel.
With the 3.8.5 it works again with opengl 2.1.
Maybe you can try different kernels to see what's happens.

Hi bluelupo,

would you be so kind to post inxi -G as user, because I want to compare that with my output.
