Installation of iceweasel?
« on: 2014/07/12, 03:14:07 »
Hi all.

apt-listbugs still reports 4 grave bugs currently for iceweasel. How to have a working version of iceweasel?
World# apt-get update
World# apt-get remove war --purge
World# apt-get install love

apt-get install iceweasel brings me a stable iceweasel (v30.0-2).  You can always pull the one from experimental (v31.0-b3).  But, have  they fixed the bugs in the new version?

$ apt-listbugs list iceweasel
Retrieving bug reports... Done
Parsing Found/Fixed information... Done
grave bugs of iceweasel (-> ) <Outstanding>
 #704019 - iceweasel: Iceweasel Crashes upon loading pages using JavaScript
 #674908 - [sparc] iceweasel: JavaScript crash on some sites
grave bugs of iceweasel (-> ) <Forwarded>
 #703472 - iceweasel freezes in _MD_WaitUnixProcess after mailcap "test" command terminates
 #709841 - iceweasel: spurious out of memory + crash (segmentation fault)

I have no more problems with Iceweasel from unstable, then I do using Firefox on openSUSE.  Same version on different distros.  I haven't experienced any of the bugs listed above.
