Possible transition to ffmpeg
« on: 2015/06/21, 16:02:16 »
From a post on PlanetDebian via http://balintreczey.hu/blog/debian-is-preparing-the-transition-to-ffmpeg/

https://wiki.debian.org/Debate/libav-provider/ffmpeg

For a not so educated linuxer I was happy when Debian went libav, but the bloom on the libav rose flowers has faded.  I do think the split "opened the windows and let some stale air out" of ffmpeg's structure and processes, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, it is nice to read what I had been intuiting.  And it is not like I have to learn a whole lot of new commands or fix scripts.  Peace out,
