Hello.

Does anybody use i3?

1. What's the way of installing i3? (xorg?)
2. What console (ncurses) soft do you use?
3. What soft do you use to manage network (wireless).

Thanks.

Hello, Musca.

Do you use ceni?
Thanks.

devil

You can of course also use ceni, but the future belongs to networkd. As an Image I would use Xorg, if i3 is all you want to use.

Hello, devil.

About networkd - i'll find out.

I3 isn't, of course, all that i want to use )

I'm thinking of using system at home just for standard uses:

1. Web browsing (qupzilla, mozilla, chromium).
2. e-mail (trojita, thunderbird).
3. smt else.

Now i'm using lxqt.
I'm thinking of changing qupzilla to smt else (vivaldi, firefox? But not good for qt).

That's why i have thoughts of changing dm.
About tiling (i3) i know.

Thanks.

LXQt with i3 might be a good idea - in that case i would recommend to use the standard LXQt lineup with connman and cmst as networkmanager. trojita is nice but under heavy development - i use it as a mail viewer, thunderbird or claws might be the better idea right now.

I use i3 with Firefox and claws mail, I wouldn't get too hung up about only using QT Also  connman and cmst work fine with i3 although you will need to add cmst to the i3 config if you want it in the i3bar at start up.

Hello, Titan.

You're using cmst+connman. Have you deleted network-manager?

Thanks.
I'll tryout xorg+i5 on weekend.

I recently tried the new ( latest) network manager as it is supposed to work with VPN but it doesn't but I noticed if you install either network-manager or connman apt removes the other anyway.
