Is there a slight chance to see Plasma 5.9 in Siduction?

I am still sometimes stuggling with some minor problems in Plasma 5.8.
For example that systemmessages (like Wifi deconnect) on the right sight (down) cover the Icons, that become unuseable for 10-20 seconds.

Also the stupid networkwidget, taht scales permanantly the y-Axis... It seems I have a lot of outgoing traffic and by a closer look it's 1kb down and 1 up... ;-)

Plus some more annoying things not worth to mention...

So in brief, we ae in the second part of the freeze, and full freeze is due next month. Plasma 5.9 is out.
Is there a slight chance it will enter sid?
Plasma 5.8 will be LTS, so I am afraid that we will never see 5.9 or 5.10 maybe not even 5.11...

and Plasma 5.9 is not out - there is a beta version out. The release is on Jan 30.

so, we will stick about 8 more months with plasma 5.8.

Don't forget, Plasma 5.8 is a LTS release which receives bugfixes for quite a while. So if you get lucky...
On the other hand, Plasma 5.8.x is the best KDE I ever had and at the moment there is literarly nothing that annoys me.

ich antworte mal auf deutsch, mein Englisch ist zu rudimentär ;-)

Wie devil schon erwähnte Plasma 5.8 ist eine LTS-Version, die für lange Zeit mit Fehlerkorrekturen versorgt wird. Vermutlich wird Version 5.9, zumindest am Anfang, wieder etwas "unrund" laufen.

Ich habe für meinen produktiven Arbeits-PC (Desktop), den ich demnächst neu aufsetze, eine deutlich konservative (KDE)Strategie gewählt. Dort wird entweder das kommende Debian Stable mit KDE-Desktop oder die KDE-Neon in der  Variante "LTS-Useredition" installiert. Das garantiert mir auf längere Zeit einen stabilen KDE-Desktop.

Was mich zudem an Neon als Arbeitssystem stören würde ist Ubuntu als Basis.

Für meinen produktiven Arbeits-PC ist oberste Priorität ein immer funktionierender KDE-Desktop ohne "Wenn-und-Aber". Der Unterbau ist mir diesem Falle nicht so wichtig. Mir ist schon klar das es zwischen Debian Stable KDE-Desktop und der KDE-Neon LTS-Useredition Unterschiede gibt und letztere bezüglich Fehlerbereinigungen weitergepflegt wird. Die Debian Stable Variante ist wohl die konservativere Strategie als die von KDE-Neon.

Die Erfahrungen bzgl. KDE im letzten Jahr haben mich zu diesem Schritt veranlasst.

I do not share your opinion of the best KdE/Plasma ever... but I will try to be patient...
Its my 4th or 5th freeze, I do not remeber exactly... since Kanotixtimes...
