We need input

G+ will start shutting down tomorrow. The siduction community there will go down with it. We need your input, if you want a community channel in social media or not. I mean one with real participation and discussions that meke the work I put into this worthwhile

G+ wird morgen mit dem Herunterfahren der Plattform beginnen. Die siduction Community dort wird mit untergehen. Wir brauchen euren Input, ob ein Community-Kanal in Social Media gewünscht wird oder nicht. Ich meine eine mit echter Beteiligung und Diskussionen, die die Arbeit, die von mir dort hineingeht, lohnt.

I am one of those silent G+ participants and I am not sure if it needs another platform, as you provide already this forum & IRC channels. But maybe users who have nothing to do with the development of Siduction feel more comfortable with a platform like a Telegram group or similar. I for example like this group: https://t.me/nextcloudchat . There you meet users with or without special skills.

Ich würde auf einen Socialnetwork Kanal für siduction nicht verzichten, da sich dort die meisten Leute befinden. Für viele User ist heute ein IRC-Kanal eher abschreckend, den würde durch einen Chat im freien Matrix-Netzwerk ersetzen (Riot.IM gibt es als DesktopApp und als AndroidApp).

Ich persönlich bin zu 80% in freien Socialnetworks unterwegs (Diaspora + Mastodon), Tendenz steigend.

I would not do without a socialnetwork channel for siduction because most people are there. For many users today is an IRC channel rather dissuasive, which would replace by a chat in the free matrix network (Riot.IM is available as a desktop app and as an Android app).

Personally, 80% of my work is in free social networks (Diaspora + Mastodon), and the trend is upwards.

Ich sehe es ähnlich wie bluelupo. Habe auch schon gelegentlich über nen Telegram-Kanal/Gruppe als Ersatz/Zusatz zum IRC nachgedacht.
I have similar toughts as bluelupo. Thought some times about an Telegram-Channel/group as replacement/add-on for IRC.

Ich habe zwar accounts in verschiedenen social media Kanälen (auch G+), halte aber für siduction dieses Forum und den IRC für völlig ausreichend. Es gibt keinen Grund, noch mehr Schauplätze aufzumachen, die auch betreut werden müssen.

Though I have accounts in various social media channels (including G+) I think this forum and the irc are sufficient for siduction. There is no reason to open up any more sites that need to be looked after.

I am happy with the forum, I don't like IRC but have used it when desperate. I wouldn't use Facebook, WhatsAp Telegram or signal. Riot would be OK especially if siduction has it's own server, Wire is good also. I haven't used Diaspora or Mastodon but they look to be more aligned with open principals.

For me this forum does it all.
But I have heard Matrix being a free alternative to Whatsup, I would like it to be supported
