I just did a d-u and noticed these messages appearing a few times.insserv: Script rsync has overlapping Default-Start and Default-Stop runlevels (2 3 4 5) and (2 3 4 5). This should be fixed.
insserv: Script cron has overlapping Default-Start and Default-Stop runlevels (2 3 4 5) and (2 3 4 5). This should be fixed.
insserv: Script ssh has overlapping Default-Start and Default-Stop runlevels (2 3 4 5) and (2 3 4 5). This should be fixed.

I'm sure I've seen them before and ignored them, but am just wondering if they are normal or should action be taken to fix them? Pretty sure I never altered any config files for these.

https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=932290  -- but it appears no one wants to fix it.  I find these messages annoying.  Should be identified as warning messages only or should not appear.

Would it solve the matter to reinstall these?

when it was hard to write it should be hard to read

Not solved for me either. They always appear during d-u but I just don't worry about them as they don't seem to affect anything.
I haven't tried reinstalling. Do it and tell us if it helps.
