Just a headsup, looks like KDE SC 4.9 packages are coming into the Debian Qt/KDE experimental repo. Noticed them in my d-u as I had experimental-snapshots repo active in my sources.list.d

Has anyone tried these yet? If so any feedback?

devil

All is fine. We will add the packages to our kde-next repository.

Now the moment when kde-4.10 upstream release is a minute away? Someone said digikam-3.0 will depend on kde-4.10.

The good news is: kde-4.9.5 is matured very stable in contrary of the coming kde-4.10.null ...

DeepDayze

Sounds great, devil...finally some movement on the KDE front in Debian :)

Thanks ralul for that update...maybe we should wait for 4.10?

ralul

No,
- kde-4.9.5 is matured,
- kde-4.10.null is not and would be our own lot of work ....

Devil:
Whats this kde-next repo? maybe I'm missing something but I don't see it in the siduction repos in the manual.

devil

It is not activated at the moment, will discuss this tonite, what to do about it.

wow... cool
Already thanks to Devil and the siduction team to transfer it to KDE-Next and the work involved!

BTW: only 260 Debian Release-Bugs to go... The freeze will end in some weeks :-)

DU today works fine with qt-kde activated and kde4.9 works without problems. :D

Wer nepomk nutzen will, muss auch nepomuk-core-runtime nachinstallieren.

devil says anyone who uses nepomuk will have to reinstall the nepomuk-core-runtime package.

I must have committed some sins in an earlier life -- I still am not finding the new KDE packages when I run d-u against the qt-kde experimental-snapshots repo.  They haven't changed the repo structure, have they?

devil

no, but maybe you need -t experimental-snapshots with it.
and make sure you do not use qt-kde2, it is offline

I have this one under /etc/apt/sources.list.d/qt-kde.list:

deb http://qt-kde.debian.net/debian experimental-snapshots main

As of now, d-u sees nothing to update.  :(
