Since an update last week, Chrome isn't rendering correctly. Images are half loaded on some sites, some images flicker when hoovering the mouse over them, etc. On one site, theoldreader.com, no style is applied. Things work find in Firefox

I've cleared cache without luck. Any ideas what to do? (Yeah, I know there are other browsers, but I need to fix this i Chrome)
I'm on google-chrome-stable_121.0.6167.139-1_amd64.deb

Why are you using Chrome and not Chromium? If you have problems with Chrome, you should consult Google.

I have no problems displaying https://theoldreader.com with Chromium.

No problem here with actual chrome.

[Update]
Have you tried deleting the directory
~/.config/google-chrome/Default/GPUCache/

The same problem with chrome and chromium. Been more than a few weeks though. There have been several updates since the problem showed up but none corrected it. I'm back on FF for now.

did you disabled all add-ons and tested it?
Maybe some add blocker or what ever is causing that issue.

As there seems to be no known bug and other users have no issues it might be some of your own system settings.
As you tried other similar browser which had there own profiles (had they?) it's maybe not a browser profile issue.
You could test with another (test)user with own fresh /home on your system. If you're on KDE, try under both Xorg and Wayland respectively. Have you recently  changed Firewall/VPN/DNS/Router settings?

I have no add-on's install in chrome. I have been using it as it's installed. I just removed the ~/.config/google-chrome directory and started chrome fresh. I went through all the first run steps and then to a forum I know this happens to me and others so I know it's not on my end.

I realized I had one old extension active used for ad / cookie blocking. Once I disabled it, theoldreader.com started to work. But images are still broken sometimes

Today I managed to solve the problem with images not loading correctly. The solution was to disable graphics acceleration (Settings - System - Use graphics acceleration when available - toggle to off). Once disabled, images are show correctly in Chrome

That's seems to work! I've been avoiding Chrome/Chromium for several month because of this issue.
